Cakes 4 Kids is a fun, educational baking program for young adults with developmental disabilities. We run classes out  of Resources for Human Development locations in Pawtucket Rhode Island and Medford Massachusetts for clients of all interests and abilities. A typical class has students make a nine inch layer cake from scratch, as well as introducing them to advanced frosting and decorating techniques. Clients also get to decorate beautiful colored cake boxes, as you can see above!

Although there is plenty of cake eating as part of a Cakes 4 Kids class, the finished product of each section is donated to a homeless child's birthday party at either Conway House or Cross Street Family Shelter.  Aside from providing a service to the community, our classes help students gain focus and confidence, develop a transferable skill set, and most importantly, have tons of tasty fun!

We can't wait to hear from you! Contact us today if you want to know more about the program.
